If that's you, read on.Political Asylum Lawyers seek a salesperson to do consultations with prospective clients. Is this position the right fit for you? Only apply if, after due consideration, you think you can add real value to our outstanding team and can fully commit to supporting our mission of helping immigrants secure their future in the United States through asylum.You must have sales experience, be able to empathize and connect with prospective clients, and have the capacity to demonstrate in a compelling way why they should trust us to solve their immigration problems. You will do consultations by video conference or telephone with prospective clients who have booked an appointment with us - no cold calling. You will follow up by phone with viable leads after consultations. You will assess during consultations whether we are in a position to help the prospective client, drawing on training we will provide on asylum eligibility. Your first two weeks on the job will consist of training to get you up to speed; prior knowledge of U.S. immigration law is not required. You will be working under a U.S. asylum attorney - you will not be providing legal advice. You’ll work from home and can be located anywhere in the world. You’ll need a quiet space, fast internet, and the discipline to stay on task without close supervision. You must be flexible and adapt to change quickly - the way in which we conduct consultations will change frequently, as we’re constantly experimenting with how best to ensure that we communicate effectively the value that we can provide asylum seekers. You’ve got to be open to constructive criticism; your work will be assessed against rigorous standards, and you’ll need to quickly and effectively incorporate feedback. You must constantly seek to improve, sharpening your professional skills and producing better and better results. Minimal travel may be required. You may be asked to travel infrequently for in-person training. You must speak Spanish fluently and be comfortable using it professionally - you’ll use it every day on the job. You’ve got to be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and producing top-notch work. To be clear, the work is at times intense: we’re doing important - in some cases, life-or-death - work for our clients, sometimes on compressed timelines, and we’re serious about promoting a culture of excellence in all that we do. These expectations extend to consultations with prospective clients. What you will get Salary commensurate with experience, but above market norms. Pay may increase quickly if you’re a great fit for the firm and do an outstanding job. In addition to a competitive salary, you will enjoy work-life balance. While the work will be fast-paced and excellence is expected, you won’t be asked to work more than 40 hours per week. You will also receive all benefits and contributions that employers in your country are required to provide by law to full-time employees. The firm may pay for certain additional, non-obligatory benefits, depending on the country you live in.
